End of Season 2019.

It's been a long 184 days season. May 1st. when we opened seems ages ago.

Now it's time for a deserved rest for all the staff. We've been to TAPS CAN AVELINO for a meal and get together, and this is how the harbour was after that. So Quiet.

Epic Trail Menorca 360. 2018

A 185KM legend

The Trail Menorca Camí de Cavalls (TMCdC) is an ultra distance event consisting of flip Menorca for coastal path originally drawn by the British over 300 years ago and whose main purpose was to defend the island.

This is a race of 185 kilometers that has a positive slope of 2863 meters in which each rider will discover their limits and enjoy the idyllic scenery in this wonderful lost corner of the Mediterranean sea, full of dreamy beaches, impossible cliffs, magical views and local cusine with which to celebrate that life is a race in which you score goals and experiences.

To overcome the challenge, each rider has 40 hours to finish an adventure with taste of an adventure. Also the organization provide 15 aid stations on the route with water, sports drinks, fruits, nuts, energy bars, among others products, or foods with the same caloric intake.

The start was last Friday, May, 18th 2018, and definitely a part in the life of any runner who took part of one of the longest non-stop test and no doubt pretty trailrunning european landscape.

End of the Season, Santandria Beach and Smoix Restaurant

After a few days of autumn weather, the first day has ended after the tourist season have been radiant and warm. Just perfect for a walk on the beach and lunch at a good restaurant. 

In both cases, the choice has been adequate.

Mostra de Cuina Menorquina 2016

In late September, and every year, some of the best restaurants on the island hold this gastronomic event in which the ingredients to make the dishes are exclusively local.

Despite being a dreary day with some showers, our choice was the Restaurant Binissues, north of Ferreries.

Located in an old farm house that once belonged to a famous noble family of Menorca, the architecture of the building imposed by its chromatic impact on the countryside.

'Gran Mitjornale 2016'

An event that never disappoints its visitors. Year after year, a large number of artists take to the streets, squares and houses in the village of 'Es Mitjorn Gran' and show their work.

Artist David Monrós, is actually present in both private and public collections all over the world and recognized by critics as a new creative icon.

Rafael Vidal is a figurative artist who lives and works in Menorca. 

He was formed in the prestigious Arts Conservatory of Barcelona, and its base is engraving and lithography
that makes drawings in the internal structure of his work: still lifes, landscapes and portraits

Season 2015. Game Over.

It's been a long Season but it is now over.

Last Guests, Mr. & Mrs. Lee, Mr. & Mrs. Kersey and Mr. & Mrs. Houghton left on Saturday evening and the Hotel del Almirante has already closed its doors until late April 2016.

Nice meal with all the Staff in Es Casino de Sant Climent. Time to say goodbye and show out gratitude to Satur who has been for many, many years our right hand man. He retires this winter. We will certainly miss him althought he will always be in the Almirante's memories, and also I have the feeling we will keep seing him very often.
